Dr. Olufemi Ayanbode is a consultant obstetrician and gynecologist with over 20 years of clinical experience and a specialized focus on minimal access (minimally invasive) gynecological surgery. He is dedicated to providing advanced, evidence-based surgical care for women with benign uterine and ovarian pathology, endometriosis, and intrauterine abnormalities — Every care rendered in a patient-centered approach in line with global best practices

Dr. Ayanbode earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MB; BS) from the Premier University of Ibadan in 2006, and went on to complete his residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH). He is a Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons (FWACS) and holds a Fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery (FMAS) from India and Malzoni Research Hospital: Centre for Pelvic, Endometriosis and Oncology Surgeries, Avellino, Italy.

He currently serves as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, and has held consulting positions at several leading hospitals across Lagos, including Evercare Hospital Lekki, St. Ives Hospital/Fertility Centre, and Lagoon Hospitals.

Dr. Ayanbode has pursued extensive subspecialty training throughout his career, including advanced Laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, application of ultrasonography in Maternal medicine, and fertility/reproductive medicine — with training programs spanning Africa, Europe, and Asia. 

He is a member of several professional bodies, including the International Society of Gynaecologic Endoscopy (ISGE), the European Endometriosis League (EEL), the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (ISUOG), the Association of Gynecological Endoscopy Surgeons (AGES) Nigeria, and the Society of Gynecology and Obstetrics of Nigeria (SOGON).

His clinical work has also contributed to the wider medical community through publications in peer-reviewed journals.
